Tax Credits are Available!
The State of Missouri, Department of Economic Development has awarded Wyman Youth Opportunity Program tax credits to support our work with promising teens in the region. Charitable IRA Legislation is Back
The president signed the charitable IRA rollover extension into law, and it will be in effect for 2010 and 2011. Donors aged 70½ or older are once again eligible to move up to $100,000 from their IRAs directly to qualified charities without having to pay income taxes on the money.

Taxpayers age 70½ and older are required to make annual distributions from their IRAs which are then included in the taxpayers’ adjusted gross income (AGI) and subject to taxes. The IRA Charitable Rollover permits those taxpayers to make donations directly to charitable organizations from their IRAs without counting them as part of their AGI and, consequently, without paying taxes on them. Speak with your financial adviser to find out how a donation to Wyman from your IRA could be beneficial to you and St. Louis teens!

Broker Hope for Teens in STL – Give to Wyman Today!

Tuesday, December 21st, 2010

ARE YOU A HOPE BROKER? ARE YOU A GENERATION CHANGER?

By providing the necessary supports and opportunities that teens from disadvantaged circumstances often lack, Wyman programs enable young people to realize their full potential and achieve success in school, family and community – so that they may break the cycle of poverty.

It sounds lofty, but brokering hope and changing generations is easy and comfortable for you, with a gift to Wyman:

One Time Gift
A one time gift to our annual fund provides youth with access to our nationally acclaimed youth development programs. It provides us with the resources to evaluate our curriculum on an ongoing basis, maintain high standards for the professional development of our staff members, provide for the upkeep of our facilities, and seek to serve the maximum number of youth each year. As the annual fund grows, so does the number of youth we are able to serve!

Recurring Gift
Recurring gifts to the Annual Fund provide sustaining support to young people in Wyman programs, in manageable amounts for you. For just $50/month, you can sponsor a St. Louis teen in Wyman’s TOP for an entire year! Recurring gifts can be made on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis! Help us to provide stability for St. Louis teens with a recurring credit card gift to Wyman.

Gift of Stock
Wyman accepts gifts of stock, too, which can be directly transferred by your financial institution or broker. For instructions on transferring your gift, contact Carol at carol.lee@wymancenter.org.
